There is no need to compromise on quality of coffee when you are out and about. With the Bodum Travel Press, you can take your coffeemaker with you. The travel press was designed so that you can brew your favorite coffee or tea and drink right out of the same tumbler. The double wall construction inusaltes your beverage and keeps it hotter longer while keeping your hands cool. The spill-resistant lid keeps the heat in when you are not enjoying your hot beverage. The Travel Press is simple to use. Simply add one or two scoops of your favorite coarse ground coffee or the appropriate amount of loose-leaf tea. Fill with hot water and screw the lid in place with the press in the up position. Allow the coffee to brew for 4-minutes (tea should brew 3-5 minutes or to your liking) and then press. Once you have pressed, open the lid and enjoy a balanced & flavorful cup of coffee or tea. To clean it up, just rinse out the grounds and handwash for best results. The travel press is a perfect brewing method if you just need coffee or tea for one, as well as while you are travelling, at work, camping or just out and about. Fits in most car cup holders.

I purchased this item as a Christmas gift and unfortunately, this product is quite a disappointment. The actual rubber ring on the plunger doesn't form a tight enough seal thus, there are coffee grounds/loose tea leaves contaminating the entire cup. It is completely unusable and will now sit on a shelf as the person for whom I purchased the gift feels guilty in throwing it out.
I'm pretty picky about coffee so I prepare my coffee before leaving in the morning and by the time I get to work (about 25 min) it's delicious and still very hot. This is also how I make coffee while camping since all I need to do is boil water. Sturdy, easy to use, and easy to clean.
Also, the little flip lid snapped off at the hinge the first time I opened it, very flimsy. The rubber seal on the press isn't adequate, too many coffee grounds still squeeze past. I was spitting out grounds throughout the drink. Overall, really disappointing. I haven't used it since the first couple cups of coffee.
I got this for a friend who was tired of bad coffee at work- he loved it. He can make it at home or at work and the double layer insulation means that it isn't too hot to hold. A great product.
If you love french press coffee, and hate being without it when you're out and about- this is perfect. Be prepared for a little grit, but if you're used to a french press already you should be used to a little grit anyway.
